Ordering
Morúa garments are only available by special order.
Garments can be fitted either in person, or remotely via the mock-up fitting service.
The ordering process:
The fist step is to select a style from the samples shown in the catalogue section of the site.
Based on your request I will send you a quote.
If you accept the quote, I will ask for either full payment or a 50% deposit before proceeding.
After this you will need to send me your measurements (or set up a meeting with me so that I can take them for you) using this measurement form.
I will draft a unique pattern based on your measurements. With it I will make a mock-up version of your garment in a plain cotton fabric. The mock up be mailed to you so that you can try it on or alternatively, it will be fitted at a personal fitting. Through the mock up and the use of photos, toguether we can perfect the fit of the final piece. To aid you in the to fitting process I've created a mock-up fitting guide.
After this you are done. It's time to sit back relax and wait while your bespoke Morúa garment is constructed.
Corsetry:
Morúa corsets are individually handcrafted to fit your shape and preferences. This highly specialized garment is made with the utmost care. A mock-up is included to ensure a good fit. Corset designs usually take 6-8 weeks from time we receive payment and measurements. This estimate does not account for mock-up transit time (the time it spends in the post and in the costumer's hands) when a fitting is done remotely. Please visit the corsetry page for more details.
Couture:
Each meticulously crafted piece in this category sports subtle complexity. Only the finest fabrics and couture techniques are used in their construction. These garments can be made in a wide range of materials and can be modified to your preferences. Due to the intricacy of these designs personal fittings are recommended although not required on all pieces.
When ordering a couture piece from Morúa, the design is tailored to your shape and style. This personalized construction takes a minimum 8 to 10 weeks to complete. Prices include fittings at the designer’s studio and a toile (muslin mock-up) to insure a perfect fit. A bridal gown may require quite a bit longer.
Ready to wear:
The items in the ready to wear line are made to your size and are available in the fabrics specified in the description. Special attention is paid to design, details, and construction to insure that these garments are not just fun to wear, but far from ordinary.
Time of delivery for these designs varies depending on the complexity of the design. These garments generally ship in 3 to 6 weeks from the time I receive measurements and final payment. Please note that mock-up service is not standard on ready to wear items. A mock-up may be requested at an additional cost. Designs requiring muslin mock up may require additional time.

Our return policy is simple: if there is a problem with the fit of your garment we will work with you until you are satisfied. This does not include changes in fit due to weight fluctuation or to changes in the design or color of the piece once the garment has been constructed.
